" TRAINING SESSION CONDUCTED BY CLASSIFIED INFORMATION SECURITY DIRECTORATE (NSA IN NATO CONTEXT) "

 

In the framework of the security education, on 12 - 13 june 2017, two representatives of Classified Information Security Directorate, Mr. Dorian Tola, Director of Directorate and Mr. Enton Sadiku, Chief of Sector, have conducted 2 days of comprehensive training on the work with classified information to the personnel of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Albania to NATO and the Mission of the Republic of Albania to the EU. In the way ahead of achieving NATO and EU standards the main topic of the training session have been appreciated very much by the personnel of the two Delegations.

" OFFICIAL VISIT IN KOSOVO "

 

On 15-17 May 2017, by the invitation of Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA), a delegation of the Classified Information Security Directorate (NSA), headed by Mr. Dorian TOLA, director of this directorate, conducted an official visit to Pristina. This visit was conducted in the framework of cooperation, on issues of the security of the classified information and vetting procedures of individuals who have access to this information. During this visit, were organized special meetings with the Deputy Director of KIA, Mr. Latif Merovci, Mr. Izet Musa, the Director of the Department of Security Verification (NSA), and his staff, and Mr. Shpen Terdeva, the Secretary of the Security Council Secretariat in the Government of Kosovo. In the way ahead to a closely cooperation, in this official visit has been reaffirmed the mutual purpose for the continuous exchange of the best practices for the protection of classified information through unified standards between our institutions.

“Training session conducted by NATO Office of Security (NOS)”

 

On 14 - 15 December 2016, two representative of NATO Office of Security (NOS), Mrs. Maja Rozaj and Mr. Pietro Di Leva, have been conducted 2 days of very excellent and comprehensive training to the personnel of the Albanian institutions. The main topic of the training session has been the standards applied for the security of NATO classified information.

“31st meeting of the International Working Group Industrial Security (MISWG)”
Stockholm, Sweden

12-15 September 2016

 

On 12-15 September 2016, in Stockholm was held the 31st meeting of the International Working Group for Industrial Security. The meeting was attended by representatives of the MISWG member countries, NATO Office of Security, the NSA and the security structures of Sweden. Albania was represented by two experts in the field of Industrial Security. During the meeting it was discussed the regarding issues for the unification of the best practices of states in the field of industrial security. In this framework have been update all the basic documents for the activity of the Working Groups. Representatives of member states submitted their visions regarding the improving the mutual cooperation on specific aspects. The next meeting will be organized by the NSA of the Kingdom of Belgium on 2017.

"Agreement between
the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and
European Union
on the exchange and mutual protection of Classified Information"

With a view to further strengthening cooperation between Albania and the EU in the field of security, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ditmir Bushati and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mrs. Frederica Mogherini, signed on March 3, 2016 on the enviroments of the Prime Minister the “Agreement between the European Union and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on security procedures for exchanging and protecting classified information”. The first round of negociations were held at the EEAS (External European Action Services) office in Brussels, between representatives of the EU security structures and delegation of Albanian NSA. The second round was held in Tirana, on 15.5.2015, at the EU representative office in Albania.

The signing of this agreement is an important step in intensifying EU - Albanian cooperation in the field of security.

the Government of the Kingdom of Spain
on the exchange and mutual protection of Classified Information"

On February 17, 2015 in Tirana, were held the ceremony of the final signing of the "Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain on the exchange and mutual protection of Classified Information".
On behalf of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania the agreement was signed by the Director of Albanian NSA, Mr. Arben Seferi, while on behalf of the Government of Kingdom of Spain the agreement was signed by Mr. José de Blas Jiménez, the Director of the National Office of Security.
At the signing ceremony of this agreement also attended the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Tirana, Ms. Silvia Cortés Martín.

This agreement is an important step in the bilateral relations between the two countries on the security issues.

Round table for
"Aspects of the best practices and procedures on the security of classified information"

On February 3-4, 2015 in Tirana, were held the Round table between the representatives of National Security Authority of Albania and the Department of Security Verification, on "Aspects of the practices and procedures of the best for insurance of classified information ".

During two days of the Round Table, were exchanged best practices on legal and technical aspects, achievements and common challenges. A particular approach was related with aspects of the procedures and standards for ensuring of classified information in the industrial field and security of information communication systems.

Common table which was chaired by the Director of the NSA, of Albania, Mr. Arben Sefer and Mr. Izet MUSA, Director of the Department of Security Verification, reaffirmed their common desire and volition for deeping the relations and institutional mutual cooperation for the protection of classified information.

“29th Multinational Industrial Security Working Group Meeting (MISWG)”

On September 9-12, 2014, in Bucharest, Romania took place the 29 Multinational Industrial Security Working Group Meeting (MISWG), representatives of NATO Security Office, European Defense Agency- EDA.
Albania was represented by 2 experts of the Industrial Security field.
During the meeting, discussion was focused on issues related to the unification of the best practice of countries in the field of industrial security in the context of contracts that require access to classified information.
In this meeting, we brought the vision for the future from the members state, to improve the mutual cooperation.

On behalf of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania the agreement was signed by the Director of Albanian NSA, Mr. Arben Seferi, while on behalf of the Government of Hungary  the agreement was signed by Mr. Lazlo Tasnadi, State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.
This agreement is an important step in the bilateral relations between the two countries on the security issues.

“The Fourth Conference of the National Security Authorities of South East Europe Countries –Members of RCC-SEENSA”

On May 20, 2014 under the direction and support of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina-National Security Authority and the Secretariat of Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), in the city of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was held the Forth Conference of the South East European  National Security Authorities (SENSA).
The Conference was attended by delegations from the National Security Authorities of different countries such as Slovenia, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Albania. The meeting was attended by Mr. Giuseppe Benassi, Head Policy Oversight Branch NATO Office of Security,  Mr. Efrem Radev, Head of Security Cooperation Unit of the Secretariat of the Regional Cooperation Council , and other experts.
The meeting was focused on issues of dynamic, functioning and achievements shared under Thematic Working Group on Security Agreements, the Training of Personnel with access to classified information, the Industrial Security and Cyber​​-Defence aspects. Also at the meeting, the discussions were made around the vision of future cooperation between the NSA and the States of the region to the issues of sharing the best experiences and legal adaptations in all disciplines of security of classified information.

“The Third Conference of the National Security Authorities of South East Europe (SEENSA)
Durres, ALBANIA

On May 28, 2013 under the direction and support of the Classified Information Security  Directorate (Albanian NSA) and the Secretariat of Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), in the city of Durres in Albania, was held the third Conference of the Heads of the National Security Authorities of South East European countries.
The first two Conferences were organized with the support of EU security structures and the NATO Office of Security (NOS).
The Conference was attended by delegations from the National Security Authorities of different countries such as Slovenia, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria and Albania. The meeting was attended by Mr. Stephen F. Smith, Director of the NATO Office of Security (NOS),  Mr. Efrem Radev, Head of Security Cooperation Unit of the Secretariat of the Regional Cooperation Council , and other experts.
The meeting was focused on issues of dynamic, functioning and achievements shared under Thematic Working Group on Security Agreements, the Training of Personnel with access to classified information, the Industrial Security and Cyber​​-Defence aspects. Also at the meeting, the discussions were made around the vision of future cooperation between the NSA and the States of the region to the issues of sharing the best experiences and legal adaptations in all disciplines of security of classified information.

The Fourth Conference of the Heads of the National Security Authorities of South-East European Countries will take place next year in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the frame of the activities organized on the occasion of the 100 years of Albanian state, on November 7, 2012, in Prishtina, was held the ceremony of the signing of the “Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Kosova on the exchange and mutual protection of classified information”. The signing of this agreement is in accordance with the program of the Council of Ministers and it intensifies the determination and its commitment in the intensification of the bilateral relations with the Republic of Kosova.
On behalf of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania the agreement was signed by the Director of Albanian NSA, Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, while on behalf of the Republic of Kosova the agreement was signed by Mr. Bajram Rexhepi, Minister of Internal Affairs.

At the invitation of the Director of the NSA of the Kingdom of Spain, Mr. Jose De Blas, on September 16-19, 2012, a team of the Albanian NSA headed by the Director, Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli and a representative from the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited Madrid with the purpose of concluding the first round of negotiations on an “Agreement Between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain on the mutual protection of classified information”.
The agreement also serves as a step ahead in the fulfillment of the obligations that derive from Albania’s membership in NATO. The negotiations were held in a friendly and fruitful atmosphere.

“International Conference “Good practices in the protection of classified information - achievements and difficulties””

In 11 - 13 September 2012, in Sofia, at the Boyana residence, took place the International Conference “Good practices in the protection of classified information - achievements and difficulties”, organized by the Bulgarian NSA, with the participation of twenty states representatives of the National Security Authorities, member of the EU and the countries of Eastern Europe. Also at the same time with this conference took place, the first meeting of Team Working Group,in relation of Training in the framework of the Forum of the NSA directors  member of RCC.
During the Conference and Team Working Group meeting for Training were discussed issues related to personnel security, industrial security, cyber challenges, etc.

Participants in those meeting were also representatives of Classified Information Security Directorate, who presented at the conference, some aspects of the best practices in the field of security of classified information in Albania.

“27th Multinational Industrial Security Working Group Meeting (MISWG)”

September 4 - 7, 2012

 

From September 4 to 7, 2012 in Bratislava, Slovakia took place the 27 Multinational Industrial Security Working Group Meeting (MISWG). Albania is a member of this informal forum since 2009. This meeting was attended by 68 representatives of 32 states as well as representatives of NATO (NOS), European Defence Agency (EDA) and the European Commission.
It was the third time for Albania to be present in this very important forum in the field of industrial security through its representatives of the NSA and NDA&NCSA near the Ministry of Defence.

“Meeting of the Heads of the National Security Authorities (NSA) of the SEE Members of the Regional Cooperation Council (SEENSA)”
Lubjana,
May 7 - 9, 2012

 

In cooperation with the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat, the National Security Authority of the Republic of Slovenia organised the second Meeting of the Heads of the National Security Authorities (NSA) of the SEE Members of the Regional Cooperation Council (SEENSA), with the full support of the NATO Office of Security and the EU General Secretariat of the Council (Security Office).

Consensus was reached on the adoption of the "Scope of Cooperation" document, which was developed at the first and second SEENSA WG meetings. During the discussions held on the first day, the SEENSA members took a decision to create a Tematic Working Group (TWG) on each of the subjects discussed. It was decided that each TWG would have a leading NSA and co-leading NSAs to join and assist with the work.

The work of the TWGs will be supported by the NOS, the General Secretariat of the EU Council and the RCC Secretariat.
The intermediate progress report to be prepared by the TWG leading NSA will be delivered at the meeting held in Sofia on 11–13 September 2012.

“The visit of the Director of NOS in Albania”

The Director of NATO Office Security (NOS), at the same time Head of NATO Security Committee,
Mr. Stephen F. SMITH, accompanied by the expert of NOS, Mr. Jean ROBILLARD, from 25-27 April 2012, conducted a working visit in Albania.

On 25 April 2012 in the meeting conducted with the Director of Classified Information Security Directorate and the closer staff  of DSIK, Mr.Stephen F.SMITH expressed his appreciation for the progress made by Albania on the security issues.

As the following of appreciation for the National Security Authority (DSIK), Mr. Smith, underlined the high overall performance of the Albanian NSA and evaluated the high level of professionalism shown by its staff and personnel in fulfilling  the standards according to NATO Security Policy.

The meetings were focused on security issues in general and in various topics concerning the specific improvements of our state institutions in relevance to the security of the NATO classified information in Albania.

On April 11 – 14, 2012 in Pristina was held the second round of negotiations of the “Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Kosovo  Republic regarding the exchange and reciprocal protection of Classified Information”.
On behalf of the Albanian delegation part the negotiations were led by Mr. Mark Ndreca, Director of  Vetting and Central Register in DSIK.
On behalf of the Kosovo delegation part the negotiations were led by Mr. Bashkim Smakaj, Representative of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA).

The negotiations were held in a friendly and fruitful atmosphere.

"Second Expert Working Group Meeting of the National Security Authorities of South East Europe, (SEENSA), Members of RCC” 
Sofia,

On 28 March 2012 in the Boyana Residence the Second meeting of the Experts Working Group of the National Security Authorities of the South Eastern European countries (SEENSA), members of RCC was held. In May 2011 the State Commission on Information Security set the beginning of the process of meetings of the Heads of National Security Authorities.
Representatives of the General Secretariat of the Council of EU, of RCC, of the National security authorities of Albania, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Slovenian and Kosovo participated in the meeting.
During the session a Draft document on the “Scope of SEENSA cooperation” was discussed which is a good base for drawing up of “Road map” for future fruitful joint activities.

During this session  of the Working Group the Second meeting of Heads of National security authorities in Slovenia in the period 5-7 May 2012 was prepared.

"First Expert Working Group Meeting of the National Security Authorities of South East Europe”

On November 24, 2011 the Classified Information Security Directorate in its quality of National Security Authority of the Republic of Albania and in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Regional Cooperation Council hosted in Tirana, the First Expert Working Group Meeting of the National Security Authorities of South East Europe. 
This meeting was attended by Heads and experts of the National Security Authorities of Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia as well as representatives of Nato Office of Security (NOS) and Office of Security Policy in the General Secretariat of EU in the Council.

Various aspects and technicalities related to the enhancement of regional cooperation in the field of security of classified information were discussed during this meeting, which was praised by the participants for its productivity as well as its friendly atmosphere.

"Visit in Kosovo in the framework of cooperation on security issues”

With invitation of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency / KIA / a delegation of the Classified Information Security Directorate / NSA /, headed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, director of this directorate, conducted an official visit to Republic of Kosovo, from June 21 – 23, 2011.
Delegation of CISD, with the quality of the National Security Authority for NATO classified information, countries and other international organizations, was received by the Director of KIA, Mr. Bashkim Smakaj and its staff. During the visit, were organized special meetings and had mutual exchange of experiences with heads and experts of the Department of Security Verification of AKI.

The visit was conducted in the framework of cooperation on issues of information classification procedures and Vetting procedures of individuals who have access to know the classified information.

The NSA delegation had meetings with the Minister of MKSF, Mr. Agim Çeku, and other heads of this ministry. The mean issue discussed during the meetings was the application of NATO`s security standards in all disciplines of classified information.

Upon the initiative of the EU Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat and the Bulgarian State Commission on Information Security, the First Meeting of the South East European National Security Authorities took place on May 25, 2011 in Sofia under the topic “Regional Cooperation in the Field of the Functioning of the System for the Protection of Classified Information – Practice and Challenges, Faced by the South East Europe Countries”.
The meeting was attended by the heads and representatives of the National Security Authorities of the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Montenegro, Romania, the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Serbia. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Hido Bišcevic, the RCC Secretary General, Mr. David Galloway, Deputy Director-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union and Mr. Giuseppe Benassi, the Head of the Policy Oversight Branch of the NATO Office of Security  and other experts of security.
Meeting participants discussed the important aspects of the practice of providing classified information and for further strengthening of regional cooperation in this important area.
Delegations of States participating NSA also held bilateral meetings in the context of intense inter-institutional cooperation for securing classified information. In this context, the delegation of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information / NSA /, headed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, director of the department had important meetings with the delegation of the Bulgarian NSA, headed by Ms. Tsveta Markova, the NSA's delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by Mr. Munib Isakovic and the delegation of the Macedonian NSA, headed by Ms. Lidija Kostovska.

NSA of Slovenia will host the next meeting of the National Security Authorities of the countries of Eastern Europe.

On June  14 – 17, 2011 in Romania was held the first round of negotiations of the "Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of Romania on the mutual protection of Classified Information”. The Albanian delegation part was led by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of Classified Information Security Directorate (NSA).
The Romanian delegation part  was led by Mr. Mariu Petrescu, General Director of the National Registry Office for Classified Information.

“The visit of the Director of NOS in Albania”

September 23-26, 2009

 

On September 23 – 26  2009, the Director of Nato Office Security (NOS), at the same time Head of NATO Security Committee, Mr. Michael T. Evanoff, conducted a working visit in Albania. Mr. Evanoff  was accompanied by the expert of NOS security issues, Mrs. Genevieve Labelle.

During his stay in Albania, Mr. Michael T. Evanoff  had official meetings with the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bamir Topi, the Minister of Defence, Mr. Arben Imami and with Heads of security institutions.

The meetings were focused in security issues in general and in various topics concerning the specific improvements of our state institutions in relevance to the security of the NATO classified information in Albania.

Mr. Michael T. Evanoff expressed his appreciation for the progress made by Albania in relation to all the security matters.

Mr. Michael T. Evanoff underlined the high overall performance of the Albanian NSA and evaluated the high level of professionalism shown by its staff and personnel in fulfilling  the standards according to NATO Security Policy.

On behalf of  the Government of the Republic of Slovakia the agreement was signed by the Director of  the Slovak NSA, Mr. František Blanárik and on behalf of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of Albanian NSA.

This agreement composes an important step forward in the bilateral relations between the two countries on the security issues.

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Croatia the agreement was signed by the Director of the Croat NSA, Mr. Ladislav Pivcevic and on behalf of the Albanian Council of Ministers by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of the Albanian NSA.
This agreement composes an important step forward in the bilateral relations of the two countries and a necessary stone in the regional security cooperations.

On 18-th of September 2008 at the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania was concluded the final signing of the "Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on Mutual Protection of the Classified Information"

On behalf of the Albanian government this agreement was signed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of the Albanian NSA (Classified Information Security Directorate) and for the Government of the German Federal Republic, by his excellency, Mr. Bernd Borchardt, German Ambassador in Albania.

The conclusion of this agreement makes possible the protection of classified information exchanged between our two countries and strengthens the cooperation in the security field with the Federal Republic of Germany.

The second round of negotiations of the "Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on mutual protection of Classified Information" was held in Zagreb, between the 16-19 of July 2008.

The Albanian delegation consisted of 5 members, and was lead by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of the Classified Information Security Directorate ( NSA). Four delegation members were representatives of the Albanian NSA and one representative of the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both parties agreed on a common draft and the final signing is expected to take place in Croatia, during the planned visit of the Albanian Prime Minister, Mr. Sali Berisha in autumn this year. The negotiations were held in a friendly and fruitful atmosphere.

On February 27, 2008 in the State Commission on Information Security of Bulgaria, in Sofia, was signed the "Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on mutual protection and exchange of classified information".

On behalf of the Albanian Government the agreement was signed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of the Classified Information Security Directorate (NSA), while on behalf of the Bulgarian Government by Ms. Tsveta Markova, Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security.

This agreement signed by the Chiefs of Competent Authorities is in accordance with the Regional Initiatives and the chapter IV of MAP, for the future integration of Albania in the Euro Atlantic Structures.

On February 5, 2008 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tirana was signed the "Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on mutual protection of classified information".
On behalf of the Albanian Government the agreement was signed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of the Classified Information Security Directorate ( NSA), while on behalf of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers, by Mr. Mykola Halamba, Deputy chief of the Ukrainian Security Service.
This agreement signed by the Chiefs of Competent Authorities enhances the signings of technical protocols between the ministries and other state institutions of both respective countries on the mutual exchange of classified information in accordance with the common interest fields.
The agreement was signed in a friendly and respectful atmosphere.

The negotiations were held in a high professional level and friendly atmosphere.

Delegations of both countries, exchanged their experience in the field of the security of classified information.
The national procedures on the approval and signing of the negotiated draft Agreement are in process.

The international Conference of National Security Authorities On

With invitation of the State Commission on Information Security of Bulgaria, a delegation from Classified Information Security Directorate (National Security Authority) of Albania took part in the international Conference of National Security Authorities of the region countries, organized in Sofia, 21-23 October 2007, on "The functioning of the system of classified information protection - experience and challenges".

In this Coferenece took part the National Security Authorities (NSA) of Bulgaria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Romania, Croatia and Macedonia.

This Conference attended by representative of the NATO Office of Security, represented by Mr Rolf Ultes.
The Albanian delegation was headed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of Classified Information Security Directorate (National Security Authority) of Albania.
Albanian delegation held three presentations;
" "Industrial Security"
" "Development of the regulatory framework of the classified information protection in Albania"
" "Practices and procedures in the field of personnel security"

The international Conference of National Security Authorities On "National Implementations of NATO Security Policy in the field of security issues"

With invitation of the National Security Authority of Croatia, a delegation from Classified Information Security Directorate (National Security Authority) of Albania took part in the international Conference of National Security Authorities of the region countries, organized in Opatija, 18-19 September 2007, "On National Implementations of NATO Security Policy in the field of security issues". In this Conference took part the National Security Authorities (NSA) of Bulgaria, Hungaria, Slovenia, Croatia and Macedonia.

In this Conference took part the Director of NOS.

The Albanian delegation was headed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of Classified Information Security Directorate (National Security Authority) of Albania.
Albanian delegation held three presentations as; "The role and Responsibilities of the Albanian National Security Authority", "Albanian Organization of the Central Registry and Sub-registries for the Control of NATO Classified Information" and "NATO Security Policy on Security Areas".
During the conference, National Security Authorities exchanged their experiences on the security issues with common interest, for the national legislation on classified information, the organization, activities and responsibilities of National Security Authorities on the NATO classified information, etc.
During this conference the Albanian delegation had meetings with delegations of participant countries as Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Bulgaria and Macedonia.
A special meeting was held with Director of NOS.

Regional Conference of National Security Authorities

With the invitation of the National Security Authority of Macedonia, a delegation from the Classified Information Security Directorate(National Security Authority) of Albania, took part in the International Conference of National Security Authorities of the region countries, organized in Ohrid, 24-25 April 2007, in the field of the security issues of classified information. In this conference took part the National Security Authorities (NSA) of Slovenia, Hungaria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
This conference was attended by the representatives of the NATO Office of Security, NATO officials with activity in Skopje and representatives of the diplomatic corpse in Macedonia, etc.

The Albanian delegation, which was headed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, Director of Classified Information Security Directorate (National Security Authority), held a presentation " On the Personnel Security Procedures for access to national and NATO classified information ".
During the conference, the National Security Authorities exchanged their experiences on the security issues of common interest, as the national legislation on classified information; the organization, activities and responsibilities of National Security Authorities on the security of NATO classified information, etc.

Negotiations between Albania and Bulgaria on the protection and exchange of classified information

In 11-13 April 2007, in Sofia, a delegation of the experts of the Classified Information Security Directorate (National Security Authority) in the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania negotiated with a delegation of the experts of the State Commission on Information Security (National Security Authority) of the Republic of Bulgaria, "On the draft Agreement between the Government of Republic of Bulgaria and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on mutual protection and exchange of Classified Information".
The negotiations were held in a high professional level and friendly atmosphere.
After negotiations, the delegations headed by the directors of the National Security Authorities of both countries, exchanged their experience in the field of the security of classified information.
The national procedures on the approval and signing of the negotiated draft Agreement are in process.
